Titus 2:11-14
“For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.”
Through the Grace of Jesus Christ you have been freed and released from the chains and bindings of this sinful world. This world is fallen and the things of this world are geared for one thing, your destruction. Whether that destruction is through financial debt, your health, the deterioration of your soul or any number of other worldly entrapments, satan is real and he is out to steal, kill and destroy. The father of lies (John 8:44), satan uses any and all deceptive tactics to bring destruction upon you, your family, your finances, your health or any other area of your life he can influence or get a hold of. That is why it is important that you stay on guard and abide in the living Word of God. I know we all get tired and run down or our lives tend to get so busy we do not make time for daily prayer, studying the Word or attending church. Be aware that a busy life, too busy to focus on what is important is a ploy of satan. This tactic has been used successfully since the beginning of time to ruin a person’s very being. If he, the accuser (Revelation 12:10) can get you off track in just one area of your life, he will continue to reel you away from God. For thousands of years satan has been studying mankind and practicing manipulative techniques of worldly deception. One thing he is, is patient, he does not take you off track over night. It is subtle and unassuming, bit by bit, slowly guiding you down the path of pride, arrogance, independence, self indulgence or whatever it is until next thing you know you are in a snare of darkness orchestrated by this world. I want to encourage you to not allow what you see to guide what you believe. God is greater than anything you have pressing down upon you and through the Grace of His Son Jesus Christ, you are set free and made new. In Jesus Christ you are a new creation, made new, forgiven and surrounded by Grace to live in this world but not be of this world. You are created to be an overcomer, walking in victory, filled with His peace, speaking His Truth and being victorious in all you do through His Word. Our battles are not fought and won in the flesh but in the spirit so our focus should not be on the things we see but instead upon God’s Truths we know. Righteousness or right standing with God comes through faith and a belief in Jesus Christ. Believing in Jesus’ willingness to die on the cross, be buried and three days later resurrected and now seated at the right hand of our Father, God Almighty. When we live by faith accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, His Grace and strength begin working within and through us. The power and might of God’s Truth begins with our thoughts (1 Peter 1:13 ESV), it is then activated through our words (Proverbs 18:21) and when activated, we begin living a life of righteousness (Romans 3:22 ESV). When we begin living life according to the righteousness of God’s Truth, we begin living in God’s will for mankind. To live a life filled with peace, joy, blessed, highly favored, prosperous, healed, anointed and filled with the Truth of our living God! I encourage you today to not allow this world to dictate how you live, God is greater than anything you face and His blessings never cease to abound for those that believe and receive!
Dear God, I pray that Your strength, wisdom, knowledge and discernment would rain down upon each and every person reading Your Word. That through Your anointing their eyes would be opened, their hearts restored, their faith re-energized and their lives changed. We believe in You and we believe without a doubt Your living and life building Word. We love, honor and praise You in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Shalom!!
